Persian rugs have intricate all-over patterns, mainly floral, but sometimes including animal or human figures, geometric, conal designs, often with a central medallion. Colours include soft pastels antemporary, folk art and of course traditiond muted reds, browns, blues, golds, greens and soft earth tones. The fringes on both ends are actually the foundations upon which the whole rug is woven.
